Al Salaam Deli

THEE best falafel in Savannah and THEE best gyro. People will tell you to go to Shuk or Yiayia’s, but Al Salaam Deli cannot be beat. Cheap, fast, and scrumdiddlyumptious. It’s literally no competition. The inside is tiny, maybe three tables and a drinks fridge filled with Faygos up for grabs as part of the $12 gyro meal. The walls are plastered floor-to-ceiling with old Nat Geo covers, and they also have a few shelves with Mediterranean ingredient staples on offer (think grape leaves, rose water).
